Teach Your Child About All Career Options

When I was growing up, I earned good grades in school. However, I decided I didn't want to go to college. I enjoyed art, and the only career I knew about when I was young was that of an artist; this led to me deciding when I was young that I didn't "need" to go to college to be an artist. When I told my parents that I didn't plan to go to college, they looked into various artistic college programs for me, and I learned that I could major in graphic art in college. I am very grateful they steered me in the right direction, but I do wonder if many children who don't pursue college simply don't know how many great careers are out there! I decided to create a blog to help parents learn how to take active roles in their children's educational journeys.

Helping Your Preschooler With Executive Functioning Skills

The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) defines executive function as the ability to "connect present action to past experiences." Put simply, executive function helps people to plan and follow through. However, before you start trying to self-diagnose your child with a learning disability, here are some ways that you can help your child to improve his executive function at home.
